Horace W. Sturgis Library

★☆☆☆☆

The Sturgis Library is one of the most iconic buildings in Kennesaw, as the first large major building, it is where KSU has begun its expansion into a incredible campus. A building that boasts a truly great rare book collection it is truly an icon for all of Cobb county.

But the years have not been kind to KSU's library, and strictly speaking its bathrooms.
the Library scored embarrassingly low except for two areas and maybe it will make sense once I have presented the ratings.

Although the library itself is a high traffic area the bathrooms rate 4 of 5 which is little to no traffic and an impressive number, the privacy rating is similar at 3 of 5, but the privacy rating is only this high for one reason. Floor two of the Library has a stall that was built for a King, it's not just big it is massive, I'm fairly certain you could fit two toilettes in this stall without a divider and the sheer distance would be privacy enough. This is where we find the Library's asterisk, the bathrooms in the Library are neither clean and the atmosphere is very poor, the bathrooms are so old they even seem dirty (1 of 5 and 1 of 5). so while it ranks well in privacy and traffic that is because these bathrooms should be avoided and everyone already knows it. Did I mention that the bathrooms even smell, not that "someone was just in there" smell, but the "oh these pipes are wrong and all the bathrooms smell, like every floor."

The Horace W. Sturgis Library ranks 1 of 5 stars.

Pro tip: stay away, beware, no trespassing... you get it. find somewhere else to do your business.

University College

★★☆☆☆
University College a building for introducing new and transfer students to Kennesaw State University is located between the Library and the English building.

For a building introducing new students to KSU, University College does not try impress anyone with its bathrooms. The buildings bathrooms ranked poorly in every category.
University College has only 2 restrooms in the whole building, and one is a single stall for men AND women.  The buildings bathrooms were gross with a Cleanliness ranking 2 of 5, it was not winning any awards. With a building as big as University College one public restroom is not nearly enough, and traffic is bound to be constantly high (2 of 5), the building has begun showing its age, in fact it started showing its age 5 years ago, giving a rating of 2 of 5 yet again. the only area the building ranked even bearably was in the privacy rating with 3 of 5.

2 of 5 Overall. You can find a better building for the bathroom. Just keep walking.

Pro tips: Just avoid University College, if you really need to go, hold-it and make your way to another building. If you really really need to go make your way to the second floor for a bit of privacy.

The Science Half of the Clendenin Building

★★★★★
Clendenin Building on the Campus
of Kennesaw State
Previously on The Gentlemen's Almanac to KSU, bad graffiti, filth, and burnt orange counter tops led to a 2/5 rating for the Math half of the Clandenin Building. The Science half however made the math half look like an amateur. The Science half has bathrooms down to scientific greatness. I'm really bad about puns.. Let's dive in.
The Science half of the Clendenin building starts with a bang with a private unisex bathroom on each floor, as well as a regular bathroom for a total of 6 bathrooms (3 regular & 3 private). Because there are so many the traffic is low receiving a rating of 5/5. All of the bathrooms were clean and new with automatic sinks, hand dryers, and toilets. Cleanliness rating 4/5, and Atmosphere rating of 5/5. No graffiti and no glory. By far the best bathrooms yet to be reviewed and really only has one building to worry about, but that'll come later. The only downside to these bathrooms is that, unless you are a science major you never go to the Clendenin Building. It's the building furthest away from everything except University Place, and the best bathroom in the building is on the top floor.
However inconvenient the placement may be, if you are looking for the best bathroom on KSU's campus the Science half of the Clendenin Building definitely has to be on the short list. Overall rating is 5/5. Go here for peace and serenity, and an all around great bathroom experience.

Carmichael Student Center

★★★★☆

The Student Center at Kennesaw State is a great place for many students to spend time between classes. With plenty things to do in the building from ping-pong in the game room, to meeting new people at events in the university rooms, eating in the one of the many great restaurants, and studying in the cubes on the third floor KSU's Student Center has plenty to offer its students, but how are the bathrooms?

With so many activities available in the Student Center the building is does not scrimp on the number of bathrooms, with a staggering 8 bathrooms it may have the most of any building on campus. The bathrooms in the student center are surprisingly clean rating 4 of 5 in cleanliness, and with so many bathrooms in the building the traffic is kept at a comfortable average (3 of 5). While the building has gone through many renovations which including adding a new arch to ease the eye on the entrance from campus green, the bathroom atmosphere is fairly low because of the buildings age beginning to show 2 of 5.
Privacy in the Student Center Bathrooms is fair 3 of 5. Nothing impressive nor intrusive.
there is graffiti in the Student Center bathrooms which is unsurprising for such an old building, thankfully the graffiti is fairly entertaining ranking 4 of 5 on the vulgar-clever scale, with some skilled artist to boast their works.
The automatic amenities in the Student Center vary widely as there are new and old bathrooms in the building, most are manual but there are automatic devices in the newer bathrooms within the Student Center.

We rate the Carmichael Student Center with an impressive 4 of 5 stars.
If you need to go and you're in a close building this may be worth the extra time to take a visit to.

Pro tips: There are two impressive bathrooms in the Student Center that you should tuck in the back of your mind in case you ever find yourself in need.
The bathrooms at the bottom of the stairs  in the eating area is to the right are the newest bathrooms (and very clean) that the student center has to offer, with all of the bells and whistles as far as automatic amenities are concerned.
The best bathrooms in the building are directly across from the bursars office in the new entrance with the arch. not many people know about these bathrooms so they are very low traffic and even have a chiropractors table in the room for your enjoyment.

The Math Half of the Clendenin Building

★★☆☆☆

I don't know if you've ever been in the Clendenin Building but it encompasses both the Math and Science departments. AKA it is a big A building (pardon my letters). Due to the fact that the building is really made up of two buildings Joel N. and I have decided to separate the two buildings into their own ratings. So let's focus on some math.
The Math building features a measly three bathrooms. This number is just far too low and increases the amount of traffic significantly. Traffic rating of 2/5. The bathrooms were newer on the other hand featuring nice burnt orange counters and automatic soap dispensers. I know burnt orange counter tops sound awful, but give 'em a chance. Atmosphere rating is 4/5. That being said the only automatic amenities in this building are the soap dispensers and you have to use paper towels to dry your hands. These bathrooms also had the user in mind with incredibly private bathrooms. Not a lot of space between the door on the stalls, and adequate dividers between the urinals make you feel almost at home. Privacy rating is 4/5.  The bathrooms weren't clean. They were bad. Cleanliness rating 2/5. These bathrooms are not filled with glory, but there was some graffiti. Not the kind of graffiti that makes you chuckle because deep down inside you still think like a middle school boy, but the kind that makes you thankful that there is a toilet next to you so that you don't have to go too far to puke. Graffiti rating 1/5 for vulgar graffiti.
Overall the Math half of the Clendenin Building is not great. Overall rating of 2/5. If you're already there, go for it, but don't waste your time walking to that building for the bathrooms, or classes really.. nobody really likes math. Just sayin'.

Math and Statistics Building

★★★☆☆
The Math and Statistics Building on the
campus of Kennesaw State

The beginning of a journey that will excite, and slightly terrify those involved. The Gentlemen's Almanac to KSU has begun with the Math and Statistics building. Located just off of the student center the Math and Stat building features three bathrooms, which is one per floor.
The bathrooms were not filthy, but were not very clean either. Unflushed toilets, toilet paper on the ground are just a few of the reasons these bathrooms received a cleanliness rating of 3/5.
Because there are only three bathrooms for all three floors of this building the bathrooms can become heavily trafficked. Traffic rating is 2/5.
The Math and Stat building just feels old. Especially the bathrooms which feature a limited number of automatic amenities (just sinks on the 3rd floor) and these bathrooms are stuck in the stone age with paper towels to dry your hands. Atmosphere rating of 2/5. There is no graffiti and none of the restrooms are full of glory, if you know what I mean.. so there is nothing to fear in this building. The biggest downfall of the Math and Stat building bathrooms is the lack of privacy. The stall are decently private but the urinals have no divider between them. If there was an eighth deadly sin, no divider between the urinals is definitely in the running. Privacy rating of 1/5.
Overall rating is 3/5. Don't avoid them, but certainly don't go looking for them either.
